GRAMMY-nominated artist Koryn Hawthorne has released a new single “Speak to Me,” off her much-anticipated sophomore album, I Am, on Friday, September 18th. This comes on the heels of “Pray” which dropped a few weeks and reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Gospel Digital Song Sales chart.
Accompanied by a music video directed by Nathan R. Smith, “Speak to Me” marks the second single off Koryn’s upcoming new album. The soothing track features a sample from gospel icon, Donnie McClurkin’s popular melodic single “Speak to My Heart.” Receiving Donnie’s blessing, Hawthorne expresses her heartfelt appreciation.

“I’m really grateful and honored Donnie allowed me to do this. This song is legendary for me. I grew up listening to and singing it with my mom. It’s a Gospel classic and that’s really dope. I’m really excited about this, it’s like his way of passing on the baton to me to continue on with Gospel music, and where I’m taking it. I’m grateful he trusted me to do this,” shares Hawthorne.
