Popular singer Sola Allyson is blessed with a sonorous voice and she has used it in winning souls for Christ. However, in a chat with Saturday Beat, the ever-smiling songstress said that she had a tough childhood.
She said, “I grew up in different places and Ikorodu is just one of those places. Most of my experiences are fading off now. I only remember clearly the absence of my parents and the struggles a little child should not have experienced that I had. Of course, I grew up and became mature quickly. I saw life on a deeper perspective than someone in my age bracket.
Those experiences made me learn life much earlier because I became responsible very early. Maybe that is why my songs come across as deep and wise. I did not grow up in the setting of a home. As young as I was at that age, the decision of my life was in my own hands.

The Eji Owuro singer told Saturday Beats that some of the happiest moments of her life are whenever she receives feedback that her songs impact lives positively.
“My best moments as a singer are times when I get feedback or testimonies of changed lives because of the influence of my songs. People have decided to turn back to God. Some got out of depression and changed their minds about committing suicide. I have heard of girls that stopped prostitution. Stories like these give me the best moments,” the singer said.
The soulful singer who has several evergreen songs under her belt revealed to Saturday Beats how she gets inspiration for her songs.

I do not think out my songs, I receive them from the Holy Spirit. I am a vessel through which God speaks and when I receive his message, I deliver them through my songs
